India vs South Africa 1st ODI: India defeated South Africa by 8 wickets in the first ODI match. Batting first in this match, the South African team was all out for just 116 runs. Team India easily chased the small target. The bowlers and batsmen performed strongly for India. After winning the match, captain KL Rahul has said a big thing.

Rahul said this big thing

After winning the match, captain KL Rahul said that I am happy. It’s absolutely great to have a win under the belt. Completely different from what we had imagined. The plan was to bring in the spinners early. But the wicket helped a lot in the beginning and the boys (fast bowlers) bowled really well. A lot of cricket is being played. It’s good to prefer one format. Tests and T20 for now. Everyone is performing and trying to do good for the country. This is a good opportunity for the youth to taste international cricket.

Win against South Africa

Captain KL Rahul was happy that he finally won as captain on South African soil. Rahul led India in one Test and three ODIs in the 2021-22 series and the team lost all the matches. The captain said that last time as captain, I had lost three ODIs here. It’s good to get a win here in South Africa today.

India achieved victory

In the first ODI against India, South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to bat first, which proved wrong. South African batsmen could not play big innings against the Indian bowlers and the entire team was all out for just 116 runs. For India, Arshdeep Singh took 5 wickets, Avesh Khan took 4 wickets and Kuldeep Yadav took 1 wicket. Arshdeep and Avesh Khan bowled impressively and it was because of these two players that Team India was successful in winning the match.
