Craig Tom scored a match changing goal in the last quarter

The Indian hockey team was at one point in a strong position in this match, but Australian player Craig Tom completely turned the match around with a brilliant field goal in the last quarter. Two goals were scored by India in this match, one of which was scored by captain Harmanpreet Singh in the 20th minute of the game and the other goal was scored by Amit Rohidas in the 29th minute. For Australia, one goal was scored by Craig Tom and the other by Govers Blake. Apart from this, Tim Brand, Ogilvie and Tom Wickham scored goals for the Australian team in the shootout, while from the Indian side, Akashdeep Singh, Sukhjit Singh and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay got a chance to score goals in the shootout but they could not succeed.

India is fourth in the points table

After the defeat against Australia, the Indian hockey team is at fourth position in the points table of FIH Pro Hockey League after 7 matches, with 12 points. At number one is the Netherlands team, which has won 6 out of 11 matches and has 23 points. Australia is at second place with 20 points while Argentina is at third place with 13 points. India now has to play its next match against Ireland on 25 February.
