Captain Juan James scored 24 runs and Tristan Luce scored 23 runs. It was because of these players that the South African team was able to score 244 runs in 50 overs. Raj Limbani took maximum three wickets for India. Apart from them, Musheer Khan took two wickets, Naman Tiwari and Saumya Pandey took 1 wicket each.

Team India had qualified for Super-6 after winning the first three matches of the group stage. Team India also played 2 matches in Super-6 and won both the matches and made it to the semi-finals.
