The Indian cricket team has now become the team that has won the most matches in the T20 international format. Team India achieved this special milestone during the fourth T20 match played against Australia at Raipur ground, in which they won by 20 runs. Earlier, Pakistan team was at number-1 position in terms of winning most matches in T20 International. Now a record of winning 136 matches has been registered in the name of India. Apart from T20, if we talk about the team that has won the most matches in Test and ODI formats, then the dominance of the Australian team is clearly visible in it.
Australia is far ahead of other teams in both Test and ODI
In the T20 International format, the Indian team is currently at the number-1 position in terms of winning the most matches. Whereas Australia has achieved this position in Test. The Kangaroo team has so far played 859 test matches and won 408. After this, England team comes at second place in this list, who has played 1066 test matches so far and has won 391. If we talk about the Indian team, it is at number five in this list. Team India has so far played 572 matches in the Test format and out of them they have won 173.
Even in the ODI format, Australia occupies the number-1 position in terms of winning matches, in which they have won 606 out of 997 ODI matches so far. The Indian team is definitely at second place in this list, in which they have won 557 out of 1052 ODI matches. Pakistan is third in the list of teams that have won the most ODI matches, with 512 wins in 970 matches in their name.
India won the most T20 matches under Dhoni’s captaincy.
Team India has so far played a total of 213 matches in T20 International and has won 136 of them. Out of these, the Indian team has won the maximum so far under the captaincy of Dhoni, in which the team has won 41 out of 72 matches played. Rohit Sharma is at second place with 39 wins while Virat Kohli’s name is at third place with 30 wins as captain.
