Indian Under 19 team will play Troy series before the World Cup, BCCI announced the schedule

In the year 2024, the Indian Under-19 cricket team has to participate in the ICC Under-19 World Cup to be held in South Africa. Keeping in mind the preparations for this important tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of a tri-series in which apart from India, South Africa and the third team will be Afghanistan Under 19. All the matches of this triangular series will be played on the grounds of Johannesburg and will start from December 29.

All teams will play each other twice

The Indian Under-19 team recently played in the Asia Cup Under-19 tournament, in which the team’s performance was not as expected and their journey ended with a defeat against Bangladesh in the semi-finals. Now this tri-series to be held before the World Cup will definitely give the team a chance to adapt to the conditions there. According to the schedule released by BCCI, India’s Under-19 team will play its second match against South Africa on January 2 after playing against Afghanistan on December 29. After this, Afghanistan will face off again on January 4 and South Africa on January 6. The final match of this tri-series will be played on January 10. BCCI has also announced the team for this series.

Will play its first match against Bangladesh in the World Cup

ICC Under-19 World Cup will also start from January 19, in which India has been included in Group A and it will play its first match in the tournament against Bangladesh on January 20. After this, it will play against Ireland on 25 January and then its last group match against USA on 28 January.
