Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins together freed a good amount of money from IPL teams. When Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore and he became the most expensive player in IPL history, it seemed that now no player will be able to surpass him in the future for such an amount. But the auction was still pending and his compatriot Mitchell Starc had to come. When the bidding started, every team was sitting saving money in their purse. First there was a war between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. But the bidding reached to such an extent that there was no money left in the purse of these two teams. After this, a fierce clash was witnessed between KKR and GT. Finally, Mitchell Starc was bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore.
One ball of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will cost this much
Now let us explain to you that if Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins play the entire IPL, then how much will one of their balls cost. Every IPL team has to play 14 matches in the first round i.e. league stage. If these two players played for their respective teams in every match, they would bowl 56 overs. If any match out of these 14 is missed and in some match not four but fewer overs are bowled then it is a different matter. However, if the team goes to the playoffs, then the figures will have to be looked at afresh. But for now, let us assume that both these players will play full 14 matches and bowl four overs in every match for their team, then the price of Mitchell Starc’s ball will be Rs 7 lakh 36 thousand 607. Whereas the price of one ball of Pat Cummins will be Rs 6 lakh 10 thousand 119. These figures are quite interesting in themselves.
