Ishan Kishan: Indian team’s star wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan was selected for the South Africa tour, but he withdrew his name due to personal reasons. After this the selectors did not select him for the Test series against England. After this, he did not play for Jharkhand team in Ranji Trophy, due to which he was criticized a lot. But now he has made a comeback in the DY Patil Cup.
Ishan Kishan scored so many runs
Ishan Kishan made an impressive comeback to competitive cricket by scoring 19 runs in the DY Patil Cup here. Playing for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on the second day of the tournament, 25-year-old Ishan stumped Sumit Dhekale off the bowling of bowler Sayan Mandal and later scored 19 runs in 12 balls with the help of two fours and a six. RBI team had to face defeat by 89 runs against Route Mobile Limited.
Ishan Kishan’s team lost
Batting first, the team of Route Mobile Limited, batting first at DY Patil University Ground, scored 192 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs, thanks to Ayush Vartan’s 54 runs in 31 balls and Dhekale’s 42 runs. In reply, RBI team was out for just 103 runs in 16.3 overs and the team had to face a crushing defeat. For Route Mobile, Badri Alam took five wickets for 20 runs.
Played T20 series against Australia
Ishan Kishan, who plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, last played for India in November last year during the T20 series against Australia at home. He then decided to take a break midway through India’s tour of South Africa and was ignored for the home matches against Afghanistan and the ongoing five-Test series against England. Ishan, who plays domestic cricket for Jharkhand, missed the last round of Ranji Trophy matches and was seen training with his Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya.
