Jeetan Patel On Ben Stokes: The fifth test match between India and England is being played on the ground of Dharamshala. In this match, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the England team was all out for 218 runs. After this, Team India’s batsmen batted brilliantly and scored 473 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. India has a lead of 255 runs. Rohit Sharma scored a century for India. He played an inning of 103 runs. But Rohit was dismissed by England captain Ben Stokes. Now the assistant coach of England has given a big statement on this.
Jitan Patel said this big thing
Ben Stokes bowled for the first time in competitive cricket after 9 months and bowled Rohit on his first ball. Whereas Rohit had completed his century and was completely set. Still he could not understand the ball of Ben Stokes and was out. England’s assistant coach Jeetan Patel said that it was written in Stokes’s destiny that he would bowl such a brilliant ball and take the wicket of Rohit Sharma, who had completed his century. We all know what our attack is like. Especially in the conditions here, you go with two spinners and two fast bowlers and in such a situation you want Stokes to play the role of the third fast bowler.
He said that it was good to see him bowling but we have to be cautious now because he has just returned to bowling. I’m sure he’ll rest well at night and then see how he fares tomorrow. The England team is currently behind India by 255 runs on the basis of first innings but Patel said that his team has not given up hope yet.
‘First we have to get 2 wickets’
Jitan Patel said that first we have to get the remaining two wickets. After this we can work on the further state of the game. Till the end of tomorrow we should work on where the game is and how far we can take it. We are very positive and will continue this further. Rohit Sharma scored 103 runs against England. This is his second century in this series.
