Indian team’s fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah made a spectacular comeback in international cricket after a long break and impressed everyone once again with his bowling in the Chennai Test against Bangladesh. On the second day of the first match of the two-match Test series being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Bumrah played a key role in restricting Bangladesh’s first innings to a score of 149 runs. Bumrah took 4 wickets giving away 50 runs in 11 overs. With this, Bumrah also completed his 400 wickets in international cricket. Bumrah is also the sixth fast bowler of the Indian team to complete 400 international wickets as a fast bowler.
Jaspreet Bumrah became part of the club of Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan
Jaspreet Bumrah made his debut in international cricket in January 2016, in which he has taken 149 wickets in ODIs and 89 wickets in T20s. Apart from this, Bumrah has 163 wickets in his name in Tests. In international cricket, Bumrah has become the sixth fast bowler from India who has managed to take 400 or more wickets. With this, Jaspreet Bumrah has now become a part of the special club of Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan. Before Bumrah, Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Javagal Srinath, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma have crossed the 400 wicket mark as fast bowlers while playing for India in international cricket. Jaspreet Bumrah is currently at number 10 in terms of taking the most wickets in international cricket for India.
