IPL Team Lucknow Super Giants
IPL 2024 is just a few days away from now. The teams have started their preparations. Training camps for all the teams have been set up and players have also started practicing. The first match of the tournament will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Fans are eagerly waiting for the start of the world’s biggest cricketing league. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants, captained by KL Rahul, has played a big bet and has made a former veteran Australian player a part of its team. Lucknow Super Giants have signed former Australian batsman Adam Voges as a consultant for IPL 2024.
What did the team’s head coach say?
Super Giants head coach Justin Langer said of Voges’ appointment: “He and I have a long association through Western Australia cricket and the Perth Scorchers. He is a very successful head coach himself. He further said that when I was the coach in Western Australia, he was the captain. He took over from me and did a fantastic job in West Australian cricket so, having him on board with LSG is a big bonus for all of us. He is a fantastic person and coach. He will bring a lot. We are thrilled to have them on board.
Voges is a fantastic sports staff
Voges, 44, played for Rajasthan Royals in the 2010 IPL. He played 20 Tests, 31 ODIs and seven T20Is for Australia between 2007 and 2016, including a player-of-the-match-winning century on Test debut at the age of 35. The aggressive right-handed batsman also has an impressive record in various T20 leagues around the world. At just 44, Voges is considered one of the most promising up-and-coming coaches in the world and has led Western Australia to eight domestic titles since taking over the reins from Langer in 2018. As head coach, he led Western Australia to multiple Marsh One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield titles and led the Perth Scorchers to two BBL titles.
