Earlier, the Lucknow Super Giants team has suffered a big blow, in which England’s fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of the entire upcoming season. In his place, the franchise has made West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph a part of its team. Lucknow Super Giants have decided to add Shamar Joseph to their team for Rs 3 crore.
Joseph came into limelight with Gaba test
West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph was a part of the West Indies team that recently toured Australia to play a 2-match Test series. Joseph’s bowling was amazing in both these matches. In the second match of the series played at Gabba, Joseph played an important role in helping the Australian team defeat them by 8 runs by taking 7 wickets. 24-year-old Joseph has played only 2 T20 matches in his Test career so far, in which he has not been able to take a single wicket. Apart from this, Joseph has 34 wickets in his name in 7 first-class matches.
The reason for Mark Wood’s exclusion was not revealed
The reason behind Mark Wood’s sudden withdrawal from the upcoming season of IPL has not been disclosed. Let us tell you that Mark Wood is also included in the England team that has come to India to play the Test series, who got a chance to play in the Hyderabad Test match and after that he was rested in the Visakhapatnam Test match. Wood took a total of 11 wickets while playing for Lucknow Super Giants last season, in which he also managed to take 5 wickets in the match against Delhi Capitals.
