The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start from March 22, in which many young players will want to impress everyone with their performance. In the upcoming season, Mumbai player Musheer Khan, who performed brilliantly with the bat in this year’s Under-19 World Cup and then in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season, will not be seen playing. In fact, in the player auction process for the IPL 2024 season held in December last year, no franchise showed any interest in including Musheer in their team. However, despite this, Musheer has now given his reaction saying that he is not at all disappointed by not being able to play in the IPL, rather he has got more time to understand the T20 format.

I am not disappointed

Musheer Khan said in his statement to PTI that I am not at all disappointed by not playing in the IPL this year. My father has told me to first concentrate on Test cricket and playing for Team India, if not IPL today then I will play it later. It is also good that I have got one more year to understand the IPL and prepare myself. Now I will try to understand this format so that how I have to prepare myself for it, so that I can be successful in it. Let us tell you that Musheer has played an important role with his bat in Mumbai winning the Ranji Trophy for the 42nd time, in which a century was also seen with his bat in the final match, after which he became the youngest to score a century in the final match for Mumbai. Had also become a player.

Musheer taking inspiration from Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan, who is the elder brother of Mushir Khan, got a chance to debut in international cricket in the test series that ended between India and England. Regarding this, Musheer said that I take a lot of inspiration from my brother after seeing his dedication and his batting. Our style of play is almost the same. I had talked to him before the Ranji Trophy final match, in which he advised me to treat it like a normal match and not take pressure. However, this does not actually happen because inside the field you feel the pressure of that big match.
