Mohammed Rizwan, Babar Azam And Usman Khan
Pakistan Super League 2024: Fans are getting to see exciting matches in the Pakistan Super League 2024 league. Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans by 3 wickets and secured their place in the playoffs. In the match, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and decided to bowl first. The batsmen performed brilliantly for Multan Sultans and made a huge score of 228 runs in 20 overs. Usman Khan scored a brilliant century for Multan Sultans and he has done something which players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan could not do till date in Pakistan Super League.
The only player to do this in PSL
Multans Sultans got a good start from Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan. But Rizwan was out after scoring 20 runs. After this, Usman Khan took over the responsibility of scoring runs. Presented an example of Usman’s brilliant batting. He hit strokes all over the field. He scored 100 runs in just 50 balls, which included 15 fours and 3 sixes. This is Usman Khan’s second century in this season of PSL. Earlier, he had played an inning of 106 runs against Karachi Kings. Usman has become the first player in the history of Pakistan Super League to score two centuries in the same season. Even star batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been able to do this miracle.
The team lost even after a century
Even after Usman Khan’s century, Multan Sultans had to face defeat against Islamabad United. Apart from Usman’s 100 runs, Johnson Charles played an inning of 42 runs for Multan. Iftikhar Ahmed contributed 13 runs. Multan team scored 228 runs.
Colin Munro played an excellent innings
After this, Islamabad United had a very bad start. When opener Alex Hales returned to the pavilion without opening his account. Then Salman Ali Aga also could not stay at the crease for long and was out after scoring only 2 runs. Colin Munro and captain Shadab Khan batted excellently. Munro scored 84 runs and Shadab scored 54 runs. Imad Wasim scored 30 runs. It was because of these players that Islamabad team won the match by three wickets. Usama Mir proved to be very expensive for Multan Sultans. He gave away 68 runs in his four overs and could not take any wicket.
