Pakistan Women vs New Zealand Women: The Pakistani women’s cricket team is currently playing a three-match ODI series with the New Zealand women’s team. In the first match, New Zealand team had won by 131 runs. The second match between the two teams will be played on December 15. But before this the Pakistani team has suffered a big blow. Pakistan captain Nida Dar was out of the second ODI and in her place a young player has got the responsibility of captaincy.

Pakistan captain Nida Dar was hit on the face by a ball in the first match and got injured. For this reason Nida has been ruled out of the second ODI against New Zealand. In her place, 22 year old Fatima Sana has got the captaincy of the Pakistani team. But no information has been given on whether Pakistani captain Nida Dar will play in the third ODI match or not.
In the second ODI against New Zealand, Nida Dar got injured on the second ball of her seventh over. She threw the ball to New Zealand batsman Sophie Devine. After this the shot hit his face. Nida was then taken off the field and advised to rest for two days.

Fatima Sana will make her captaincy debut in the second ODI in Christchurch. In June, she captained the Pakistani team in the ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Where they reached the semi-finals. In domestic cricket, Fatima led PCB Blasters to the T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament title.

Talking about captaincy, Fatima said that it is an honor to captain the Pakistani team in ODIs. However, the circumstances are unfortunate due to Nida Dar’s injury. She has been an inspiration and I wish her a speedy recovery. We are all excited to perform well. We had a historic series win against New Zealand and I know the players are eager to perform well in the ODI series as well.
