Pakistan Cricket Team: Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf had refused to go on Australia tour. Pakistan cricket team chief selector Wahab Riaz also tried to convince him, but he did not agree. After this the PCB did not allow him to play in foreign leagues. It seemed that he would participate in domestic cricket in Pakistan. But now PCB has taken a big decision for two more players apart from Rauf.

PCB took this decision

Pakistan Cricket Board has issued NOC to fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and leg spinner Usama Mir for Big Bash League 2023-24. The Board has issued the NOC keeping in mind the workload of the players and the future schedule of the National Men’s Team. Haris and Usama have been given NOC for a total of five matches while Zaman has been given NOC for four matches. All these matches are scheduled to take place between 7th and 28th December. Rauf and Usama Mir are part of the Melbourne Stars team, while Zaman is with Sydney Thunder. The board said in a statement that the PCB understands that this decision is in the best interests of all, while balancing playing time with workload management.

Rauf is included in the central contract

When Haris Rauf had refused to go on Australia tour. Then team director Mohammad Hafeez had said that the players are in the list of central contract of Pakistan. His first priority should be the national team and not franchise cricket. Rauf is currently in Grade B of PCB’s Central Contract. Which is the second highest slab of contracts by the PCB. Zaman and Usama Mir, on the other hand, are in Grade D, which is the lowest slab.

Played all three formats for Pakistan

Haris Rauf has played cricket in all three formats for Pakistan. He is known for his killer bowling. He has won many matches for the Pakistani team on his own. He is known for bowling fast. He has played 1 Test, 37 ODI and 62 T20 matches for Pakistan.
