Shaw has also become the third batsman in the history of Ranji Trophy to score a century in the first session of a match. Earlier, in the year 1950, JN Seth had achieved this feat in the match against Southern Punjab and in the year 1965, Bharat Awasthi had achieved this feat in the match against Jammu and Kashmir.

If we look at Prithvi Shaw’s record in first-class cricket format, he made his debut in the semi-final match against Tamil Nadu in the year 2016-17 season. In this match, Shaw also won the title of Player of the Match by scoring 120 runs in the second innings of Mumbai. Shaw has so far scored 3997 runs in 46 first class matches with an average of more than 50, in which he has 13 centuries and 16 half-centuries in his name.
