The final match of Ranji Trophy 2024 will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said that the final of this Ranji Trophy season will be held at Wankhede Stadium from March 10 to 14. The venue of the title clash has been announced after 41-time champion Mumbai qualified for the final for the 48th time.

MCA secretary gave this statement

MCA secretary Ajinkya Nayak said in a statement that Wankhede Stadium has been the home of Mumbai cricket for almost 50 years. So, given the legacy of the tournament and the importance of this big match for the entire Mumbai cricket community, it is only fitting that the final is being played at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai will face the winner of the ongoing second semi-final between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh in the final.

Mumbai team registered a one-sided victory

Mumbai team defeated Tamil Nadu in a one-sided manner in the semi-final match. In this match, Tamil Nadu team scored 146 runs in the first innings and after this, Mumbai team scored 378 runs in the first innings and took a huge lead of 232 runs. After this, Tamil Nadu’s batting again flopped in the second innings and it was all out for 162 runs. In such a situation, Mumbai won this match by an innings and 70 runs.
