Rashid will not play due to back surgery
In a tweet by Adelaide Strikers, it was said that Rashid has a back injury and he will not be able to take part in the Big Bash League season starting from December 7. Rashi will have to undergo a minor surgery to recover from this injury. Rashid’s exit is being considered a big blow for Adelaide. Rashid has been a part of this team since the 2017-18 Bish Bash League season and has been seen playing the role of a match-winning player for the team with his consistent performance. Adelaide team general manager Tim Nilsson said about Rashid’s exclusion that he is one of the important players of the team who has been playing for us for the last seven years, so this time we will definitely feel his absence. Our coaching staff will now look at the replacement for Rashid this season and soon we will announce the name of that player.
Rashid showed excellent performance in the World Cup
Afghanistan team’s brilliant performance was seen on the field in the recently concluded ICC ODI World Cup hosted by India. Rashid took 11 wickets in 9 matches in the World Cup in which his average was 35.27.
