How did Rishabh Pant recover ahead of time?
Rishabh Pant: Team India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant will be seen playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. He will be seen on the cricket field after 14 months. Pant was away from cricket since the car accident on Delhi Dehradun Highway in December 2022. However, now Pant has got permission to play in IPL. The physiotherapist of the National Cricket Academy has given a big statement on his return.
Doctor’s big statement on Rishabh Pant’s return
Physiotherapist Tulsi of the National Cricket Academy said that Rishabh Pant’s mental strength and experience of playing gymnastics helped the wicketkeeper batsman make quick recovery. Tulsi Yuvraj told BCCI TV that his mental strength and self-confidence inspired us to give 100 percent during the rehab. Doctors thought it would take two years for him to make a comeback. Once NCA came, he recovered rapidly.
Benefits of doing gymnastics
Nishanta Bordoloi, strength and conditioning coach at NCA, said that Pant was also a gymnast in his childhood, which helped in his recovery. He said that Rishabh’s gymnastics background helped us a lot. This was very useful in many things, for example, when he felt that he could not move forward, he was able to stand on his feet again.
Pant said this on his recovery
Pant left no stone unturned for recovery but he found the process boring. He said that rehab (the period of regaining fitness after injury) is quite boring. Doing the same thing over and over again but having no option but to do it. The more you do, the sooner you will recover. Very happy to be back on the field. My love for cricket has increased. Earlier also I was in love with it but now it has become too much.
