From here, Rinku along with captain Rohit not only made a partnership of 190 runs for the 5th wicket but also took the team’s score to 212 runs. This match saw an unbeaten inning of 69 runs in 39 balls from Rinku’s bat.
After this match, captain Rohit also praised Rinku’s ability and said in his statement that in the last few series that he played, he showed what he could do with the bat. He is very calm and knows his strengths very well. The kind of expectations from him that he has managed to fulfill so far. His performance for the team now has been very good and it is a positive thing for us as well. We needed someone like that in the lower order and we know what he has done in the IPL and he is doing the same in international cricket at the moment.

Captain Rohit Sharma, who was out on a duck in the first two T20 matches of this series, got a century in this match. After the match, he further said in his statement that I do not remember the last time this happened. I think I have batted three times in an IPL match. Building partnerships was important. Rinku and I were talking continuously. There was immense pressure after losing four wickets for 22 runs and it was important for us to stay at the crease for a long time. There was definitely pressure there but we did not have to change our thinking too much.
