The record of scoring the fastest four thousand runs for India is in the name of Virender Sehwag. Sehwag did this in 79 innings of Test cricket. Whereas Rohit Sharma is the 10th fastest Indian batsman to score four runs. He has touched the figure of four runs in his 100th innings of Test cricket.

Rohit Sharma made his Test debut for the Indian team in 2013 against West Indies. He scored centuries in both his first Test matches. So far, he has scored 4003 runs in 100 innings of 58 test matches for the Indian team. He has 11 centuries and 16 half-centuries to his name in Test cricket.
