Sanjay Singh has been elected as the new Chief of Wrestling Federation of India. Earlier the President of WFI was Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. But wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia had made sexual allegations against Brij Bhushan Singh. For this reason he did not contest the elections. Whereas Sanjay, who is considered close to Brij Bhushan, had contested the elections and was facing Anita Sheoran, who had won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. Where he got a bumper victory. Sakshi Malik has said a big thing as soon as Sanjay Singh won the elections.

Sakshi Malik said this

Sakshi Malik said that the work of breaking the morale of daughters is still going on. We had demanded to make a woman president. But now Brijbhushan Sharan Singh’s right hand is now the president. He is dearer than his son also. No woman has been given any participation. I give up my wrestling.

Bajrang Punia said that the whole country wants to know why the players were silent? Today was the election and a committee was formed. We protested again. Were fighting the battle of truth. We were active players. I don’t think the daughters will get justice. Had narrated his ordeal to the Sports Minister. We feel that the coming 1-2 generations will have to fight a battle. The government did not live up to its promise.

‘We sought justice everywhere’

We tried every way. Then sat on the streets of Delhi. We had clearly told by name to save the girls. We were asked to wait for three-four months and nothing happened. Sanjay Singh was made the president today. Making him president would mean that sports girls would have to become victims again. They could not succeed in the battle we were fighting. We don’t know how we will get justice in the country? It is very sad that today the future of wrestling is in darkness. We don’t know whom to share our sorrow with. We are training and have come to tell you.
