Spinners can also take advantage of this. Whereas Gill said that Team India had 70 percent upper hand in this match. Regarding his century, Gill said that scoring runs at number three was very important and very satisfying for me. It was very important for us to take a big lead in this match and score as many runs as possible. This wicket is very good for scoring runs but you have to bat with some caution because some balls are spinning and some remain straight.

On the third day, when Gill managed to complete his century, he celebrated it in a very calm manner and he said that it felt good. I felt the work was not done for the team. That’s why I didn’t celebrate too loudly. He also gave a statement regarding the bowling of James Anderson and said that I was concentrating on one ball at a time and definitely a lot was happening at the crease. Two wickets fell early in the beginning and then there was a good partnership between me and Shreyas.
