The form in which Gill was seen this year, everyone expected that he would definitely break Sachin’s record, but in the ODI World Cup, Gill could not play in the first two matches. In 9 matches, he managed to score only 354 runs at an average of 44.25. After this, due to Gill not being selected in the ODI series against South Africa, it has been decided that now he will not be able to break this big record of Sachin. Gill has scored 1584 runs in 29 innings in ODIs so far this year at an average of 63.36 and during this he has also played five centuries and nine half-centuries.
