Sri Lanka Under-19 Cricket Team
The Asian Cricket Council had already announced the schedule of the Under-19 Asia Cup. Now Sri Lanka has announced the team for the Under-19 Asia Cup. Sineth Jayawardene has been made the captain of the Sri Lankan team. This tournament will start from 8th December and the final match will be played on 17th December at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Sri Lankan team will play its first match in this tournament against Japan on 9 December.
15 players got place in Sri Lankan team
Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee has selected 15 players to participate in the U19 Asia Cup. At the same time, two players have been kept as traveling reserves. The squad of these 15 players has been approved by Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Harin Fernando. The team captained by Sineth Jayawardene will leave for the Asia Cup on 6 December 2023.
8 teams will participate
Eight teams will participate in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2023. These include teams from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, UAE and Bangladesh. These 8 teams have been placed in groups of four each. India has won the Under-19 Asia Cup title the most number of times. The Indian team has captured this trophy 8 times. Last time in the year 2021, Team India won the trophy by defeating Sri Lanka.

Sineth Jayawardene (captain), Malsha Tharupath (vice-captain), Pulindu Perera, Rusanda Gamage, Ravishan Nethsara, Sharujan Shanmuganathan, Dinura Kaluphana, Vishwa Lahiru, Garuka Sanketh, Vishen Halambage, Ruvishan Perera, Vihas Thevamika, Duvindu Ranatunga, Hirun Kapurubandara, Dinuka Thennakoon.
reserve: Zenith Fernando, Supun Waduge.
