The West Indies team will tour Australia early next year to play the Australian Test series. Where a two-match test series will be played between the two teams. This series will start from January 17. The West Indies team has announced its 15-member squad for this series. Cricket West Indies announced a surprise squad for the next upcoming tour where almost half of the players are uncapped. He may get a chance to debut for the first time.

Former captain out of the team

Their former captain Jason Holder has been dropped from the team as he wanted to focus on T20 ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. The lack of experience in the team is clearly visible.

There is lack of experience in the team

According to a report in Sydney Morning Herald, there will be at least four debutants in West Indies’ playing 11 in the first Test starting on January 17 in Adelaide. What is even more shocking is that the entire West Indies team has Test experience of only 235 matches. Only four of them have played more than eight matches.
