UAE Cricket Team New Head Coach: A major change has been made in the UAE cricket team. An Indian veteran has been made the new head coach of the UAE men’s team. This veteran played the biggest role in helping the Indian cricket team win the 2007 T20 World Cup. This veteran will officially take command of the team this week. His first assignment will be the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI tri-series which will be held in the UAE. After this, UAE will host Scotland for three T20 matches next month.
This Indian legend became the head coach of UAE team
Former Indian batsman Lalchand Rajput has been made the head coach of the UAE men’s team for three years. Rajput played 2 test matches for India in 1985. At the same time, Lalchand Rajput also played 4 ODI matches for India. He then started coaching and became one of the most accomplished domestic coaches in India. After this, he coached India’s ICC T20 World Cup winning team in 2007.

Lalchand Rajput has also coached the Afghanistan team in 2016-17. During his tenure, Afghanistan was granted Test status by the International Cricket Council. His next stint with the Zimbabwe men’s team was from 2018 to 2022. Rajput helped Zimbabwe qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (Australia 2022). Now he is ready to take UAE cricket forward.
