ILT20 Dubai Capitals Coach: The second season of International League T20 will be played from January 19. Last season the ILT20 title was won by Gulf Giants. Dubai Capitals team has appointed former Indian batsman Hemang Badani as the coach for the ILT20 2024 season. Badani has been the coach of Chepauk Super Gillies in the Tamil Nadu Premier League since 2016. He has been associated with them for the last seven seasons. It was under his coaching that Super Gillies won the title four times. In the year 2021, he has also worked as a consultant for Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League. Badani was appointed as the fielding coach and scout of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the Indian Premier League and continues in the role till July 2023. Hemang has coaching experience, which can be useful to the Dubai Capitals team.
This is how my career has been
Hemang Badani made his debut for India in the year 2000. At the same time, he played his last ODI match for Team India in the year 2004. He has scored 867 runs in 40 ODI matches for Team India, which includes 1 century. Apart from this, he has also played 4 test matches for India. He was a part of Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2010, but he did not get a chance to play in the playing eleven.
6 teams will participate
ILT20 is organized by the Emirates Cricket Board. The first match of this season will be played on 19 January. The final match will be held on 17th February. This time the teams of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriors will participate in the league.
