Ahmed Shehzad’s Retirement : Pakistan cricket is currently going through a phase of change. The team is on the tour of Australia, but in the meantime a draft was held for PSL i.e. Pakistan Super League, in which there were good bids on the players. The players who were sold at an expensive price are happy, but a player whom no one bought has suddenly announced his retirement. We are talking about Ahmed Shehzad. He wrote a long note on social media and said not to play PSL from now on. The PSL season will be played next year, preparations for which have already started.

Ahmed Shehzad has written in his note that goodbye to Pakistan Super League! He further wrote that he is writing this note, which I thought I would not write this year. Another PSL draft gone and same old story, not picked. God knows why! Expanding his point, he has written that he has been working hard in the last few years by giving everything in domestic cricket and has also performed very well in the National T20 Cup just before the PSL draft. Shahzad says that he feels there has been a deliberate attempt to keep him out, when the franchise chose players who performed less than him. But it doesn’t matter when everything is already decided. I don’t know whose responsibility it is to bring players who have performed well in domestic cricket into the PSL. But I know exactly why I was not made a part of PSL, the entire country and the fans will know this very soon.

Ahmed Shahzad continued in a long note and said that he is stepping away for his self-respect and saying goodbye to Pakistan Super League. Wrote that he has never played for money and will never do so. While many people chose leagues around the world. He is taking this decision keeping the money away. Ahmed further wrote that I will not play PSL with these 6 teams again. It seems that all the franchises have joined hands to keep him away from PSL. Lastly, I am grateful for the support I have received from my fans across the world. I can assure only one thing and that is to never succumb to unreasonable demands or accept anything that brings down my country. If this is the price to pay for my honesty and dedication then it is indeed a small price to pay and I will continue to do so.
Ahmed Shehzad’s statistics in international cricket
Ahmed Shehzad has been out of the Pakistani team for a long time. Ahmed Shahzad, who played his first Test in 2014, played his last match in 2017. At the same time, after playing the first ODI in 2009, he did not play any One Day International match after 2017. He made his T20 debut in the year 2009 itself and after the year 2019, he was not seen here either. Talking about his statistics, he has scored 982 runs in 13 tests. He has 2605 runs in his name after playing 81 ODI matches. In T20 International, he has 1471 runs in his name in 59 matches.
