McCullum scored the first century of IPL

The first century in the history of IPL was scored by Brendon McCullum 16 years ago in 2008. Then, while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, he scored 158 runs in 73 balls against RCB, in which he hit 10 fours and 13 sixes. It was because of him that KKR team was successful in winning the match. He was given the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings.

KKR won the match by 140 runs

In the match against RCB, Kolkata Knight Riders team scored 222 runs while batting first. For KKR, Brendon McCullum contributed 158 runs, David Hussey contributed 12 runs and Ricky Ponting contributed 20 runs. It was because of these players that KKR team was able to score big. After this, no batsman from RCB could perform well. Praveen Kumar was the highest scorer of RCB by scoring 18 runs and the entire team was all out for 82 runs. In this way KKR won the match by 140 runs. Ajit Agarkar took maximum three wickets for KKR.
