In the match being played between Tasmania and Victoria in Australia’s domestic cricket tournament Sheffield Shield, Victoria team batsman Will Purowski retired hurt after being hit on the head by the ball and left the field. Pucovski has become the victim of a bouncer ball for the 13th time in his cricket career so far. This time, when he came on the field to bat, before Tasmania team fast bowler Riley Meredith could understand the bouncer ball, it went straight to his helmet and hit him. Pucovski was playing only his second ball of this innings and then due to concussion he had to retire and return to the pavilion.
Pucovski fell on the field as soon as the ball hit him
Will Pucovski came close to the off stump to play his second ball of the innings but Meredith used a bouncer ball against him which he could not understand at all. After the ball hit his head, Pucovski fell straight on the field and after that, Cricket Australia’s doctor and Victoria team’s physio immediately came to the field to inquire about his condition, after which they decided to take Will out. In place of Pucovski, Victoria team has included Campbell Callaway in its playing 11 as a concussion player. In this match, Victoria team has got a target of 442 runs to win in the fourth innings, chasing which they scored 260 runs at the loss of 3 wickets.
Cricket Victoria gave information on Pucovski’s condition
Cricket Victoria issued a statement on the condition of Will Pucovski, who suffered a concussion, saying that the medical staff is taking full care of him and we will continue to give you full updates about Will’s condition. Earlier in the month of February, in the match against New South Wales, Pucovski had also suffered a concussion after being hit on the head by a bouncer ball. Earlier, Pucovski had also taken a break from cricket for some time due to his mental health. Till now, Will has got a chance to play only 1 test match for the Australian team, in which he has scored a total of 72 runs.
