The Indian team is currently playing a five-match T20 series against Australia on home soil. In the first match of this series, the Indian team had won the match by 2 wickets in a thrilling manner, in which captain Suryakumar and Ishaan played brilliant innings. However, the one player who was discussed the most after this match is Rinku Singh who is impressing everyone with his ability to finish the match. Now before the second T20 match, Tilak Verma also gave a statement about this special talent of Rinku and said that he is trying his best to learn this art from her.

Hopefully I will be successful in doing the same in the upcoming matches.

India has to play the second match of the T20 series against Australia at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Tilak Verma, who came to talk to the press about the team’s preparations for this match, also talked about Rinku Singh’s talent of finishing the match. Tilak said in his statement that I am learning the art of how to finish the match from Rinku because he is doing it continuously. I also want to do the same and hopefully I will be successful in doing so in the upcoming matches. There is no pressure of expectations on me. I have a role and I have to play that role for the team. I have to play my role at number five and play long shots or rotate the strike as per the situation. In the last match, the leg spinner was bowling from one end and I wanted to dominate him because then we needed 10 runs per over. So it was decided that I would take on the leg spinners while Suryakumar Yadav would take an aggressive approach against the fast bowlers.

I’m aiming to maintain my form

Tilak Verma was not able to make any significant contribution with the bat in the first T20 match against Australia and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 12 runs in 10 balls. Tilak, who was not a part of the World Cup team, said about his preparations before this series that before the start of this series, I had played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and my performance there was better. I was confident about my performance and hence I did not work on any particular area but my aim was to maintain my good form.
