Yashasvi Jaiswal broke Virender Sehwag’s 16 year old record

Yashasvi Jaiswal Record: The Test match being played between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has become quite interesting. After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs, when Team India came out to bat, captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal took an aggressive stance. Together, both of them created a record which had never happened before in the history of Test cricket. Not only this, Yashasvi Jaiswal batted so stormily that even Virender Sehwag lagged behind him. From this it can be understood with what kind of intention the Indian team has entered the field.

Rishabh Pant has the fastest half-century for India in Tests.

If we talk about the batsmen who have scored the fastest half-century for India in Test cricket, then Rishabh Pant is at the first place. In the test match played against Sri Lanka in the year 2022, he scored a half-century on only 28 balls. The record which has not been broken yet. Although Jaiswal had scored his 48 runs on only 27 balls, meaning he had a chance to become number one, but he missed it.

Kapil Dev had created history in the year 1982 itself.

If we talk about the second batsman after Rishabh Pant, then Kapil Dev’s name comes there. He completed his half-century against Pakistan in the year 1982 on only 30 balls. Kapil Dev did this at a time when no one could even think of doing this in Test cricket. This record remained in his name for many years, after which, somewhere in the year 2022, Pant was successful in surpassing him.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shardul Thakur now on par

After Kapil Dev, Yashasvi Jaiswal has now come at number three. Although he is not alone on this number. Earlier in the year 2021, Shardul Thakur had completed his half-century in Test against England on only 31 balls. Now Jaiswal has also come and stood there. If we talk about Virender Sehwag, he had scored 50 runs on only 32 balls against England in the year 2008. If seen in this way, today Jaiswal has equaled Shardul Thakur and has broken Virender Sehwag’s record.

Jaiswal was out after scoring 72 runs

Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his half-century with speed, but in his attempt to play a fast innings, he could not complete his century and was out. Jaiswal scored 72 runs on 51 balls during his stormy innings. This included 12 fours and two sixes. Rohit Sharma also played a brilliant inning of 23 runs in only 11 balls and got out. Tuesday is the last day in the match, so it remains to be seen which way the match goes.
