Yuvraj Singh Indian Cricket Team: Former Indian team batsman Yuvraj Singh is known for his explosive batting. He helped the Indian team win many matches in the ODI World Cup 2011 and was also the player of the tournament. Yuvraj Singh played his last ODI match for India in the year 2017 and he retired from cricket on 10 June 2019. But now he has expressed his desire to join Team India again.

Yuvraj Singh said during the inauguration of ‘Yuvraj Center of Excellence’ here that I think we played a lot of finals but did not win even one. In 2017, I was a part of a final in which we lost to Pakistan. We will definitely have to work on this in the coming years. As a country and as an Indian team, we will have to perform better under pressure. I think something is missing, when there is a big match we are physically prepared but mentally we need to be strong.

Yuvraj said that I think it is important to inspire young players, to teach them how to handle pressure and show their game. This has been a challenge. We have matches and players who can bat under pressure but the whole team should do it, not one or two players. I would love to guide. In years to come when my children grow up. I would like to give back to cricket and help the youngsters to get better. I think we face a lot of mental challenges in big tournaments. I believe that in the mental aspect I can work with these players in the future. I feel I can contribute, especially in the middle order.
ICC title has not been won since 2013
The Indian team last won the Champions Trophy in 2013 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Since then Team India has not won the ICC title. India recently faced defeat against Australia in the final of ODI World Cup 2023. Due to this, the wait for Team India to win the ICC title has increased.
