Israeli fighter jets take off to attack Lebanon.

Beirut/Jerusalem: After Hamas, Israel has now vowed to destroy Hezbollah as well. After this, Israeli warplanes carried out the most intense attacks on southern Lebanon last night for the first time in the war that has been going on for a year. Israel carried out these attacks despite the call of America and Britain to exercise restraint. Throughout the night, Israeli fighter jets kept roaring in Lebanon and raining bombs. This shook the whole country. During this, more than 1000 rocket barrel launchers of Hezbollah were destroyed and more than 100 hideouts were demolished.

This incident has further escalated the conflict between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah. Meanwhile, the White House said that the incident was achievable through immediate diplomatic resolution. Britain also called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. “The United States is horrified and concerned about the potential escalation,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a briefing. Lebanon and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for the death of 37 people and injury of more than 3000 people in pager and radio blasts a few days ago. This was also said to be the real reason for the conflict.

Hundreds of rocket launcher barrels destroyed in Lebanon

The Israeli army has claimed that Hezbollah had prepared to launch more than 1000 rockets towards it. But Israeli fighter jets destroyed all these rocket launcher barrels before this could happen. During this, more than 100 Hezbollah hideouts have been destroyed. Lebanon’s state news agency NNA said that Israel carried out more than 52 attacks in southern Lebanon after 9 pm. Three Lebanese security sources said that these were Israel’s biggest air strikes on it since the conflict began in October. However, there were no immediate reports of casualties.

Israel vows to destroy Hezbollah

The Israeli military vowed to continue attacking Hezbollah and said its strikes on Thursday targeted about 100 rocket launchers and other targets in southern Lebanon. Now it will destroy Hezbollah just like Hamas. Meanwhile Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in a TV address that the device explosions on Tuesday and Wednesday had “crossed all red lines”. Now “the enemy has gone beyond all controls, laws and morality”. Nasrallah said these attacks by Israel “can be considered a war crime or a declaration of war”. Israel has not commented directly on the pager and radio explosions, which security sources say were probably carried out by its Mossad spy agency, which has a long history of carrying out sophisticated attacks on foreign soil.

The Prime Minister of Lebanon made this demand

The Lebanese mission to the United Nations said in a letter to the Security Council on Thursday that Israel was responsible for the explosions of pagers and electronic devices. Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called on the Security Council to take a tough stand to stop Israel’s “aggression” and “technological warfare”. Israel warned Hezbollah to pay a ‘heavy price’ for attacks on its country. The deafening sound of Israeli warplanes shook Beirut as Nasrallah’s broadcast was watched. Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant has said that Israel will continue military action against Hezbollah. The new phase of the war has important opportunities but also significant risks. (Reuters)
