Imran Khan News: The court has given some relief to former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is surrounded by troubles all around. A petition was filed against Imran Khan’s non-Islamic marriage, this petition has been rejected by the Islamabad court. In some relief to jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, a court here on Friday rejected the petition challenging his ‘un-Islamic’ marriage with Bushra Bibi.

Case withdrawn against Imran

This information was given in a news published in the media. Bushra is his third wife. Petitioner Mohammad Hanif withdrew his case against the former prime minister after a local court rejected his plea, Geo News reported. Hanif had moved the court seeking legal action against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party chief for Khan (71) marrying Bushra (49) during her ‘Iddat’ period.

What did the petitioner say in the application?

Iddat (period of three months) is for a Muslim woman. This period has to be taken into account after the death of her husband or divorce. “At present, the applicant wishes to withdraw the said complaint due to technical reasons,” the petitioner said in his recent application filed in the court. Judicial Magistrate (Eastern Region) Kudrat Ullah allowed the complainant to withdraw the complaint.

What was Hanif’s claim?

Hanif had claimed that Bushra Bibi was divorced by her ex-husband in November 2017 and she (Bushra) married Khan on January 1, 2018, even though her ‘Iddat’ period had not ended and this should have been done. It is against Sharia and Muslim rules. Khan is lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail since September 26.
