Israel Hamas War Child in Gaza

United Nations: Gaza has become a battleground in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The situation in Gaza is dire and people are struggling even for basic things. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has announced that there will be a limited pause in the ongoing fighting in Gaza. The pause in the fighting will be given so that millions of children can be vaccinated against polio. This announcement has been made after polio infection was confirmed in a child for the first time in 25 years in the Palestinian region.

There will be no war during vaccination

Rick Pepperkorn, the World Health Organization (WHO) representative in the Palestinian territories, said the vaccination campaign would begin in central Gaza on Sunday during a three-day pause in different areas of the war-torn region. He said this would be followed by a three-day pause in southern Gaza and then another three days in northern Gaza. He said they think they may need additional days to complete the vaccination. Pepperkorn said their goal is to vaccinate 640,000 children under the age of 10.

More than 40 thousand people died

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that, according to local health officials, more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in the military action taken by Israel so far, although they did not say how many of them were fighters. During this time, the number of injured is said to be more than 90,000. The war between Israel and Hamas started last year when Hamas terrorists attacked Israel. 1200 people were killed in this attack and 250 people were taken hostage.
