Meanwhile, a major decision of the Colorado Court came, in which it was said that former President Donald Trump cannot contest the upcoming presidential election. The court declared him ineligible for this post. Amidst the discussion on these news, a big statement from US President Joe Biden has come. Biden said that there is no doubt that Trump has supported the Capitol Hills violence. But now it depends on the court whether to disqualify him for the post of President or not. In fact, Trump now has only one way left to go to the Supreme Court, the country’s biggest court. They can file an appeal against this decision there.

Trump now has this option left

According to media reports, Donald Trump still has time to overturn the Colorado Court order. They can file a petition against the Colorado Court’s decision in the Supreme Court by January 4, the country’s highest court. Meanwhile, Trump supporters have said that former President Trump is going to approach the Supreme Court soon.

Colorado court’s decision unfortunate: Republican leader

Meanwhile, Republican leader and Trump ally Mike Johnson has called this decision of the Colorado Court partisan. He said that we are confident that the US Supreme Court will cancel this decision. The American people will decide the next President. At the same time, Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has considered the court’s decision as election interference.

Use of this section of the Constitution for the first time

The Colorado court has removed Trump, the Republican Party’s main contender for the White House race, from the presidential primary ballot. This is the first time in the history of America that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate. The Colorado High Court, in its 4-3 majority decision, said, the majority of the court believes that Trump is ineligible to hold the office of President under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

All the judges of the court were appointed by the Democratic Party

According to media reports, all the judges of the American court which has given the decision for former President Trump were appointed by the governors of the Democratic Party. The High Court of Colorado State gave this order, overturning the decision of the District Court judge. The lower court had said that Trump had incited the mob to violence for the attack on Capitol Hills (US Parliament) on January 6, 2021. But the court had also said that Trump cannot be barred from participating in the presidential elections for this reason. Because it is not clear that section of the Constitution covers the presidency.
