Parliament was also informed about the inaction of the Taliban-led interim Afghan government against the banned group. The Home Ministry, in a written reply to a question, shared information about the regrouping and expansion of TTP’s activities during the 2022 peace talks, which has increased its terrorist activities.

The Home Ministry said, ‘TTP has significantly increased its activities and is trying to garner support from other extremist groups to strengthen its capabilities. Its activities are particularly concentrated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its traces are also visible in Balochistan. This organization is making efforts to activate its network in the country.
