China on Dalai Lama: China has once again revealed its misdeeds. China said on Friday that if there is any successor to Tibet’s spiritual leader Dalai Lama, he should be from inside the country and permission will have to be taken for this. Dalai Lama is currently 88 years old. China has described the strategically important Tibet region as the gateway to ‘South Asia’, highlighting the infrastructure development near the Indian border. The Chinese government said in its white paper that all the incarnated Buddhas living in Tibet, including the Dalai Lama and Panchen Rinpoche, will have to find their successor within the country.

China has the audacity to consider Arunachal as South Tibet

It also highlights the infrastructure in the border areas in Tibet and Arunachal Pradesh. China calls Arunachal as Southern Tibet. China has laid rail tracks to operate high-speed trains in Tibet to India’s border areas, which will help it transport troops faster. The White Paper also stated that Tibet is going to be a gateway to South Asia with rail and road connectivity through Nepal.

What did China say on the successor of Dalai Lama?

Beijing has insisted that the Dalai Lama’s successor would need its approval. At the same time, analysts have said that this remains a matter of concern because the current Panchen Lama has not been widely accepted in Tibet. He is the number-2 spiritual leader who was appointed by China after ousting the boy nominated by the Dalai Lama.

Beijing considers Dalai Lama anti-China

According to the white paper, ‘The reactionary nature of the Dalai Group has been exposed, and the regional government is closely relying on all people to resist it in all its forms.’ It says, ‘It is now deeply rooted in the minds of the people of the entire region that unity and stability are a blessing, while division and unrest are a disaster. They are more committed to protecting the country’s unity, national sovereignty, and ethnic solidarity.’ On the other hand, America has criticized this. America says that Beijing should not interfere in choosing the successor of the Dalai Lama.
