SSC Releases CGL Tier 1 Exam 2024 Guidelines: Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level Examination 2024 will be conducted from tomorrow i.e. 9th September. Starting from tomorrow, the exam will continue till 26th September 2024. Every year lakhs of candidates appear in this exam and the same has happened this year as well. Tier one exam is to be conducted from tomorrow, the candidates who have applied should know about some rules before going to take the exam or else there will be trouble later.
Reporting Time
It is clearly stated in the notice that candidates have to reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the exam. Latecomers will not be allowed entry. Timings and reporting time can be checked here. This exam will be conducted in four shifts in a day. Check here at what time to reach for which shift.
- The first shift will be from 9 to 10 in the morning, for this you have to report by 7.45.
- The second shift will be from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., for which you have to report at 10:30 a.m.
- The third shift will be from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm, for this one has to report at 1.15 pm.
- The fourth shift will be between 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm. For this, you have to report by 4 pm.

keep these rules in mind
- Reach the examination hall at least half an hour before the exam and do not leave the hall until the exam is over, even if your paper is over.
- Make sure to carry your admit card with you, without it you will not get admission. Read the instructions given on it carefully and follow all of them.
- The scanned admit card that you will carry with you does not have a photo pasted on it. This part is for the invigilator present there.
- You can also appear for the exam with the help of the admit card downloaded from the website. Do carry a copy of the photo with you, although it may not be required.
- Along with the admit card, keep a valid photo ID with you. Without this, you will not get admission.
- During the exam, a paper will be provided on the side for rough sheet, do rough work only on this.
- Only one answer sheet will be provided with one paper, on this you have to mark your answers.

Do not take these items with you
The list of things that should not be taken with you to the examination hall is as follows. Any type of book or copy, slide ruler, pager, mobile phone, written notes, calculator, any electronic device, smart watch, health band, head phone, Bluetooth etc.
What can you carry
Candidates can only carry a black pen with them to the exam hall. It can be a ballpoint pen or an ink pen. Apart from this, do not carry anything else with you to the hall. Keep checking the official website from time to time to know the updates about this.
