You get admission after passing the entrance exam.
Seats are limited in Jamia and a large number of candidates want to take admission. In such a situation, admission is given only to those who fulfill all the eligibility conditions and pass the entrance exam. To get admission in the courses here, candidates have to appear in various examinations.
In many UG courses, admission is done on the basis of CUET, while for some the university conducts its own entrance examination. Along with this, the scores of candidates who have passed many national level exams like JEE are also considered valid for admission in a particular subject.
Who gets the reservation?
In Jamia, reservation quota is fixed for Muslim students as well as some other categories and female candidates. Some percentage of seats are reserved for them in every course, the details of which are as follows. 30 percent seats in all courses are reserved for Muslim candidates.
Apart from this, ten percent seats are reserved for OBC and Scheduled Tribe category candidates. Out of all the courses, three percent seats are given to PH candidates and 10 percent quota is reserved for Muslim women.
JMI students get priority
Apart from the reservation mentioned above, some percentage of seats are kept reserved for JMI students only. For example, 5 percent seats are reserved in every course for the children studying in the school here. Similarly, there is a provision to reserve 5 percent seats for Kashmiri migrants also.
