Patna, Bihar Health Department had announced recruitment for 4500 posts of Community Health Officer. This restoration has now been cancelled. In this regard, a notification has been issued by Bihar State Health Committee on Tuesday (March 12).
What is mentioned in the issued notification?
Actually the restoration was carried out only a few days ago. There was not a single post for general category in it. Political temperatures were high regarding this. Amidst the ongoing controversy, now information in this regard has been given by Bihar State Health Committee that it has been cancelled. The notification reads, “Advertisement No. 03/2024 [PR. No. 019305 (B&C) 2023-24] “The advertisement published against 4500 vacant posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) is canceled due to unavoidable reasons.”
There was not a single post for general quota
Let us tell you that out of the 4500 posts for which recruitment was done, there was not even a single post for General Quota. Controversy had started regarding this. It started trending on Twitter also – #Bihar_Savarna_MLA_When_Will_Speak. There was no statement from BJP on this but JDU spokesperson Abhishek Jha had said that improvements will be made at whatever level is required.
Application for this had to be made by 30th April
The last date of application for the recruitment of 4500 posts was 30th April. A total of Rs 40 thousand was to be received including salary of Rs 32 thousand and incentive of Rs 8 thousand. This includes 1345 for EBC, 331 for EBC Female, 702 for BC Female, 259 for BC Female, 1279 for SC Female, 230 for SC Female, 95 for ST, 36 for ST Female, 145 for EWS, There were 78 seats for EWS women.
