Actually, most of the universities participating in the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) are central universities. Out of more than 250 universities participating in CUET UG in the year 2023, 45 were central universities. These universities include many renowned universities, including Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Science etc. In such a situation, more students wish to take admission in the famous and prestigious universities of the country.
Students get better resources with lower fees in central universities. These universities have good facilities like library, lab, computer lab etc. Also, there is a good placement system here. In most of the central universities, there is an opportunity to do graduation in courses related to engineering, science, social science, humanities. Due to which the dominance of central universities continues in CUET UG.
New courses being launched
At the same time, reports show that state universities and private universities are also continuously trying to strengthen their position in CUET UG. Resources and infrastructure are also being improved in these universities. Besides, these universities are also attracting the attention of students by launching new courses.
What is CUET UG?
CUET UG is called Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate. It is a national level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities, state universities and private universities across the country. No age limit has been fixed for CUET UG exam. Candidates can participate in this examination at any age.
