Famous South actress and content creator Saumya Shetty has been arrested by Visakhapatnam Police. The actress has been accused of gold theft. It is being told that actress Saumya Shetty committed this theft at the house of a retired Indian Postal Department employee. The actress carried out this incident at her own friend’s house. It is being said that the police took timely action and registered an FIR and arrested Soumya.

Retired Indian Postal Department employee Prasad Babu had complained to the police about the theft of 150 tola gold jewelery from his house. Police say that Soumya used to frequently visit Prasad’s house. She had a close friendship with Prasad’s daughter Monica and due to this she was aware of his lifestyle and expensive things. In such a situation, he has taken wrong advantage of the family trust. Police said that Soumya had gone to his bedroom several times to steal gold. Making the excuse of going to the bathroom, she kept going into the room again and again.
Police took action
When Monica’s family returned from a wedding, they realized that the gold items kept in the house were missing, following which a complaint was lodged. Fingerprints and CCTV footage were also taken in the forensic investigation. 11 people came under suspicion. After this, interrogation was done in which three people were arrested and questions were asked. Soumya is also included in this. The police took action and registered a case against Soumya in this matter. After committing this theft, Saumya Shetty cleverly left for Goa.
74 grams of gold recovered
After the arrest, Saumya Shetty confessed to the theft. Till now the police has found 74 grams of gold. The actress says that she does not have the remaining gold, so she cannot return it. Further action is still going on in this entire matter.
