Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is currently seen in the 15th season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Amitabh is known for his hosting style in quiz based reality shows. From asking questions to chatting with contestants, his style is different from every host. Amitabh has been sharing old stories related to his life and experiences amidst the rounds of questions. Once again Amitabh shared an unheard anecdote. He told that during the days of struggle, he had gone from Delhi to Chandigarh by bicycle for a special reason.
Amitabh narrated the story to the contestant from Odisha
The veteran Bollywood actor opened up about his struggle to get admission in college and revealed how he traveled from Delhi to Chandigarh on a bicycle to get admission in a university. Amitabh welcomed Sheikh Azmat, who came from Balasore, Odisha, on the hot seat. During the episode itself, Big B asked the contestant, ‘Sheikh Sir, you are a teacher. You teach children. What is your subject?’
Contestant taught Amitabh a trick
Answering the question, the contestant said, ‘Sir, I teach everything, but I enjoy teaching mathematics and geography. I believe that children find mathematics difficult. So I try to find new tricks and entertaining ways so that children do not find it a burden. After this the contestant displayed an interesting trick on the white board, which Amitabh was surprised to see. The actor further said, ‘Where were you in 1956? I was studying math and didn’t know this. If you had been there I would have learned something. I guess you weren’t even born. I am saying this because I do not understand mathematics.
Got admission after push
Big B further said, ‘I studied B.Sc. in the university. Because I was not getting admission anywhere else. I went to a few other places. When I did not get admission in Delhi, someone told me that I could get admission in Chandigarh. So I went to Chandigarh on a bicycle from Delhi. It didn’t take me long to ride a bicycle. I boarded a bus bound for Chandigarh and hung at the back. I struggled everywhere for admission, but finally I got admission in B.Sc. in a college in Delhi.

The actor further said, ‘In the first 45 minutes of lecture, I realized that I had made a mistake. Science is a scary subject. I suffered for three years and then that book… what’s it called? Guidebook. I memorized it and somehow graduated, but I don’t remember anything. Had I met you, perhaps I would have received better guidance.
