Bengali actress Anjana Bhowmik is no more
Recently a very sad news has come out from the Bengali film industry. It is reported that veteran Bengali actress Anjana Bhowmik has passed away. It is being told that Anjana Bhowmik was suffering from respiratory problems for a long time. His health was very bad, due to which he was admitted to a hospital in South Kolkata on Friday night. However, on Saturday morning, 79-year-old Anjana said goodbye to the world. There is a wave of mourning in the entertainment world due to the demise of the actress.
Director Srijit Mukherjee paid tribute to Anjana
The news of Anjana’s demise has been given by Bengali cinema director and screenwriter Srijit Mukherjee. While sharing the post on his Twitter, he has expressed grief over the demise of the actress. While posting, Srijit Mukherjee wrote- ‘Anjana Bhowmik was my favorite actress of the golden era. His spontaneity and timing were exemplary and his chemistry with Uttam Kumar was excellent, and I say this keeping in mind Suchitra Sen, Supriya Devi and Sabitri Chatterjee. May their souls rest in peace.

Apart from Srijit Mukherjee, National Award-winning director Ramkamal Mukherjee has also expressed grief by sharing a post on Anjana’s demise. While sharing the post, Ram Kamal wrote – ‘Veteran actress Anjana Bhowmik will remain in the memories of Bengali audiences for her beautiful smile and brilliant screen presence with stalwarts like Uttam Kumar in Heroines Sangbad, Chowringhee and Thana Theke Ashchi.
