Choreographer Ganesh Acharya
When there is talk of choreographers in Bollywood, after Saroj Khan, only the name of Ganesh Acharya comes to mind. There is hardly any film personality in the country whom he has not made dance to his tunes. But do you know that Ganesh Acharya started his life from a slum. He became emotional while speaking in a program. The choreographer said that the reason behind his success was his work.
Youngest choreographer at that time
“My life started in a slum, but today I stand as a choreographer,” Acharya said during the Youth for Quality Bharat Mahotsav. I was the youngest choreographer in Bollywood and the sole reason for this achievement was the quality of my work.” The 52-year-old choreographer said the “quality” of his work enabled him to fulfill his “dreams”.
He said, “It was the quality inside me that enabled me to fulfill my dreams. Develop the quality inside yourself too. I am glad that I got the opportunity to be associated with the Quality India Mission, which has increased my happiness.”
Received many awards
Apart from choreographing A-listers in Hindi cinema, Acharya has been honored with several honours. He was awarded the National Film Award for Best Choreography in 2013 for the song ‘Hawan Kund’ from ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and ‘Gori Tu Lath Maar’ from Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
She recently made the nation dance with the choreography of ‘What Jhumka’ from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Along with this, these days he is choreographing ‘Rom Rom’ of ‘Krack-Jeetega To Jeega’.
