A big record is waiting for Ashwin in the third test, he will make a great record by taking just one wicket – India TV Hindi

Ravichandran Ashwin Test Career: The third Test match between India and England will be played on Rajkot grounds from 15 February. The five-Test series between the two teams is currently tied at 1-1. India made a strong comeback by winning the second test match against England by 106 runs. Now by registering victory in the third test match, Team India will be eyeing to take the lead in the series. Indian team’s star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can make a big record in his name in the third test match.

Can do this feat just by taking one wicket

In the second test match against England, Ravichandran Ashwin did not take any wicket in the first innings of the second test match. But in the second innings he was successful in taking three wickets. Now if Ashwin manages to take one more wicket in the third Test match, then he will complete his 500 wickets in Test cricket. He will become the second Indian bowler to take 500 wickets for India. Before him, Anil Kumble had done this. Kumble has 619 wickets in his name.

Team India won many matches

Ravichandran Ashwin made his debut for the Indian team in the year 2011. Since then he became an important link in Indian spin bowling. Batsmen are not able to understand his carrom ball quickly and get out. It is not easy for any batsman to escape the magic of his spin on Indian pitches. So far, he has taken 499 wickets in 97 Test matches for Team India, in which he has taken five-wicket haul 34 times. Ashwin has variety in bowling and proves to be very dangerous on turning pitches.

So many players have taken more than 500 wickets

Ravichandran Ashwin will become the 9th bowler to take more than 500 wickets in Test cricket. Before him, Muttiah Muralitharan, Anil Kumble, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Nathan Lyon, Courtney Walsh, James Anderson and Stuart Broad have taken more than 500 wickets in Test cricket.
