Chandni’s real name is Navodita Sharma. When Delhi-based Navodita Sharma entered Bollywood, she changed her name to Chandni. When Chandni was studying, she came to know through an advertisement that director Sawan Kumar Tak was looking for a heroine for his film, in which Salman Khan would be in the lead role. After the success of the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, Salman became the heartthrob of millions of young hearts. In such a situation, Chandni also filled the audition form to work with Salman Khan and got selected.

Chandni’s career flopped due to this reason
‘Sanam Bevka’ was a superduper hit. From the story of the film to the acting and songs of the actors, I liked it a lot. Chandni’s name was on everyone’s lips. However, Chandni’s shine could not last long in Bollywood. Chandni could last only for five years in the film world. It is said that one of the reasons for Chandni not being very successful in Bollywood was the contract signed with director Sawan Kumar Tak. Due to which he lost the offers of some good films. And by the time Chandni came out of the contract it was too late. From 1991 to 1996, Chandni worked in about 10 films. But no film was as successful as his first film.

Due to lack of success in films, the actress left the industry forever and in 1994, Chandni married Satish Sharma, who lives in America. And settled in America forever. Chandni’s last film was ‘Hahaakar’ which was released in 1996. Chandni has left Bollywood years ago, but she has never lost her fascination with Hindi films and Bollywood dance.

Chandni, who lives in Orlando, America, runs a dance academy there. This dance academy of Chandni is quite popular. The children of Chandni Ki Dance Academy have also participated in many stage shows. Even though Chandni is unknown in Bollywood, she is quite famous in America. Talking about Chandni’s personal life, she has now become the mother of two daughters. She has named her two daughters Karishma and Kareena on the lines of Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. After playing an unsuccessful film innings, Chandni is living a happy life as a successful dance teacher. That too away from the glare of Bollywood.
